A commitment to nature, integrity, and empowerment.

We do this work because we believe technology should serve ecosystems, not exploit them. From the beginning, we made a promise—to develop solutions that restore, monitor, and protect nature while ensuring communities have the power to sustain them.

We Made
a Promise

Our technology is engineered for the real world, designed to work with the land and sea, not against them. Whether it’s large-scale restoration, advanced monitoring, or precision data analytics, we approach every project with honesty, transparency, and a commitment to long-term impact.

We operate at scale and commercially across our workstreams, from drone-led reforestation to AI-powered MRV and environmental intelligence solutions. But our commitment to communities remains at the core. Our community-based projects run on a cost-recovery model, ensuring that local partners retain 100% of the revenue from the licensed technology.

Through our knowledge exchange platform, communities not only use our tools—they improve them, sharing real-world adaptations that refine and strengthen our technology across the globe.

Because a promise to nature is a promise we intend to keep.

About our Co Founder

My name is Cory Rhodes

Cory Rhodes is a former military aviation engineer with a career spanning two tours in Iraq and search and rescue missions across Latin America. His experience in high-stakes environments shaped his belief that technology should be both resilient and accessible, leading him to develop field-ready aerial and marine solutions for climate restoration. At Distant Imagery, he applies his expertise to engineering modular drone systems, hybrid UAVs, and scalable restoration tools, ensuring they are rugged, efficient, and adaptable to real-world conditions. Cory’s work is rooted in community empowerment, creating technology that doesn’t just deploy solutions—but equips local teams to own and refine them, making aerial climate tech more impactful, democratic, and scalable.

About Our Co Founder

My name is Jane Glavan

Jane Glavan is the strategic lead behind Distant Imagery, driving its scientific innovation, business strategy, and global impact. Raised in a diplomatic family with CIDA, she lived in Haiti, Tanzania, and Pakistan, shaping her belief in community-driven solutions. A Canadian environmental scientist with a background in climate policy, blue carbon, and large-scale restoration, she has developed scalable, technology-driven solutions that empower local communities to restore ecosystems. Her work with AGEDI on climate and blue carbon strategies reinforced her nature-first approach, ensuring all solutions are science-backed and adaptable. A mentor for the Villars Institute and the subject of one of the chapters in the children's book Dreamers of the UAE, she is also a frequent speaker at global climate and sustainability forums, championing high-impact, community-led innovation that turns technology into real-world results.
